About
Founded in 2017, Wellness Tools for the Trades was born from a simple yet powerful idea: bring mental health and well-being to the forefront of the construction industry. What started as a passion project took root when we partnered with a large finishing trades union in Northern California to teach our first wellness workshop—marking the beginning of a movement toward a healthier, more supported industry.
Our mission is to provide practical, accessible tools that empower tradespeople to care for their mental, emotional, and physical health. With rates of mental health struggles and suicide disproportionately high in the construction field, our work is grounded in compassion, connection, and the belief that well-being should be as fundamental as safety on the job.

Since our first workshop, we’ve grown into a trusted resource for unions, apprenticeships, and construction organizations across the country. Through engaging training, mindfulness practices, and mental health education tailored for the trades, we’re building a culture where workers don’t have to choose between strength and support—they can have both.
